A sharp jump in prices for international cargo transportation

In 2021, the demand for cargo transportation both to Ukraine and from our country has significantly increased. An important reason is the small number of drivers willing to work on long—haul flights.Experts report that the number of applications for intercity transportation from Ukraine by trunk transport increased by 22% last year compared to the year before last.

At the same time, the price increased by 17%.

The jump in value is especially noticeable when compared with the pre-pandemic 2019. The number of applications increased by 79%, and prices — by 62%.

At the same time, experts noticed that the numbers grew gradually during 2021. The average rate for cargo transportation from the country for the whole year in Ukraine was within 1000 cu. By the end of the year, the amount reached 1300 USD.

According to analysts, there has not been a significant increase in the number of applications in the field of international cargo transportation to Ukraine at the moment, but the cost is rapidly gaining momentum. Compared to 2020, the average rate per year has increased by 69%.

The main reason for such changes is considered to be the growing demand for transportation services and the shortage of truckers. There is every reason to believe that the trend will remain in 2022.
